Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church
His Beatitude Mar Raphael Thattil serves as the Father and Head of nearly five million Syro-Malabar faithful around the globe. Elected on January 8, 2024, and enthroned on January 11, 2024, he leads our Church with wisdom, compassion, and dedication to the Gospel.
Under the guidance of the Syro-Malabar Eparchy of Mississauga, we are blessed to be part of this vibrant global Catholic community united in faith and tradition.

Bishop of the Eparchy of Mississauga
His Excellency Mar Jose Kalluvelil serves as the Bishop of the Eparchy of Mississauga, shepherding the Syro-Malabar Catholic faithful in Canada. Ordained as bishop on September 19, 2015, he brings extensive pastoral experience and theological expertise, having obtained his Doctorate in catechesis from the Salesian University, Rome.
Under his pastoral leadership, the Syro-Malabar community in Canada continues to grow in faith, worship, and service to God and neighbor.

Vicar, Sacred Heart Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, Thunder Bay
Fr. Giju Varghese was ordained to the priesthood on 1st January 2001 by His Grace Mar Joseph Powathil for the Archeparchy of Changanacherry. He holds a Master's degree in Sociology and Social Work, equipping him with both academic insight and pastoral sensitivity in the field of social ministry.
Over the years, Fr. Giju has rendered distinguished service in a variety of responsible roles. He served as Secretary-cum-Treasurer of CHASS and as Director of the Social Work Department. In the field of education and social outreach, he has been the Manager of St. Joseph Senior Secondary School, Dibiyapur, Director of Ashaniketan Alampur and the Social Service Society, Etawah, along with serving as Manager of St. Thomas School, Manipuri.
He has also served as Rector of Jeevan Jothi Seminary, Etawah, Manager of St. Mary's Inter College, Etawah, and Manager of SH Sevagram School, Chibramau. Through these diverse responsibilities, he has demonstrated exemplary leadership, administrative competence, and a deep commitment to the Church's mission of education and social transformation.
He took charge as Vicar of the Sacred Heart Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, Thunder Bay on May 17, 2026.
